Friday 22nd Feb Homework Due on Monday 25th Feb Homework Please continue working on your "I believe learning to swim is important" persuasive piece of writing. This is an opportunity to add some facts and research to your writing and finish your final draft. Success Criteria: Make sure you have written 5 short paragraphs and focus on using punctuation, capital letters and some persuasive language to convince your new alien classmate that learning to swim is essential.

Re-read your ideas of how our school rules look/feel/sound. Then write me a note on how you will change/improve your attitude/behaviour in our class time.

Monday 11 March Homework due Friday 15th
Please come up with your speech topic and 3 key points by Friday. If you are not sure about your topic or want some advice please check out our wiki writing page and/or see Mrs Lowe.
Tuesday 12th March Homework In our inquiry we are looking at changes in Pukekohe over the last 100 years. Students can look at Music (what we listen too & what we play the music on); Takeaways & Restaurants changes over the last 30 years; Changes at Pukekohe Intermediate; What Pukekohe was like during the war years; The Pukekohe Movie theatres. Their focus should be only on one area and the changes made to Pukekohe. Check out our Inquiry page for more ideas and details.
Wednesday 20th March Homework due Monday 25th Students are to re-create the Pukekohe Intermediate uniform (past or present) on the A4 size paper. They can be as creative as they like. They can use fabric to make the uniform, or draw or make it out of collage . They can use a celebrity face as long as they put a lot of effort into creating the uniform, they can even draw a cartoon character. This is to look at the changes to fashion in our school.
Friday 22nd March Homework due Monday 25th Students are to finish off their maths graphs to a high standard to be displayed in the classroom. Students are to finish off writing their exposition. They should proof read and edit their work ready to hand in on Monday. (This is work started in class and not finished.) This is a reminder to those who did not complete their reading log on Friday, that they must bring it in on Monday!
